The I-WAY project is organized in 10 Work packages (Wp), each one led by a project partner particularly experienced in the corresponding area, so as to ensure best practise and work efficiency. The workplan is structured as follows:
- Wp0: Project Management & Co-ordination
- Wp1: User Requirements &System Functional Specifications
- Wp2: Vehicle Sensors and data Acquisition Module development
- Wp3: Development of the Situation Assessment Module
- Wp4: Communication Aspects and Mobile Interfaces
- Wp5: Set Up of Road Infrastructure
- Wp6: Implementation of the road Management System
- Wp7: Integration, Testing & on Road Trials
- Wp8: Dissemination & Exploitation
- Wp9: Evaluation & Assessment
Each Wp is divided into Tasks in order to aid the best cooperation among participants. The number of Tasks is different, depending on the work that must be conducted in each of them. Tasks are led by Task Leaders (Task Leaders are also project partners) to ensure best practice.
